The Centurion and the Widow

May 29, 2011 Speaker: Mark Petersburg Series: Studies in Luke

Topic: The Gospels

In this first message of five on miracles in Luke’s Gospel, consideration is given to the primary purposes behind Jesus’ miracles.  Then, in Luke 7, two miracles are examined: one involving faith as a center-piece of the story; the other where faith isn’t even mentioned.  Two primary applications follow: First, that we cannot put God in a box.  He works as He wills, in his time, for his purposes. Second, it pleases God greatly when we exercise faith (belief, trust) in Him.
