In this final section of Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians, the apostle encourages these new believers to ministry. This ministry has several different targets: the spiritual leaders that God had set over them, others in their community of faith, and even themselves. Then Paul concludes by encouraging them with the ministry of God in their lives – a commitment to preserving them until the return of Jesus, a commitment tied to and guaranteed by the faithfulness of God.
