In First Thessalonians, chapter 4, Paul encourages these believers to live lives of spiritual vitality, sexual purity and social responsibility. The word dignity originates from a word meaning “worthiness, equivalent to worthy.” Some of the synonyms for dignity are: decorum, propriety, seemliness and stateliness. Our lives, as believers in Christ, are to be worthy of the calling to which we have been called. They should reflect well on the state in which we find ourselves – children of God, called by Him for His purposes. How are we doing?
