In Chapters 20-23 of Exodus, we see the terms of the covenant God was making with Israel. From the end of Chapter 23 through Chapter 24, we now see how the covenant was ratified. This includes the benefits of the covenant and, most significantly, the means of the covenant. We see here the importance of the blood sacrifice which is required for putting the covenant into effect.
