One of the greatest truths about you if you have believed in Jesus for salvation, having put your trust in him and been forgiven, is that you have been adopted into God’s family.  This is the truth that the Apostle John speaks of as he opens chapter three of his first epistle in the New Testament.  Two things important about your “family connection” with God: what God declares and what we demonstrate.  From the foundation of what God declares, it is a matter of what our lives demonstrate.
