This message begins a five-week series on the subject of Spiritual Gifts. The gift of the Holy Spirit was promised by Jesus in the Upper Room prior to his betrayal and death. This gift (begun on the Day of Pentecost) is now given to every person who places their trust in Christ and is saved by God’s sovereign grace. At the same time of conversion, every believer is given one or more spiritual gifts. From passages in First Corinthians, Romans and Ephesians, we see all three persons in the Godhead involved in the giving of these gifts.
