Paul moves on from the subject of idolatry (Chapters 8-10) to address issues related to public worship.  He begins this section dealing with the question of whether or not it was proper for women to pray and prophesy in the public worship service with their heads uncovered.  While the application is different today in most American churches, Paul’s teaching goes deeper to the subject of God’s creation order and the corresponding implications.  This is one of those passages that causes you to come in humility and submission to God’s wisdom and work, and wrestle to understand the text in its original context.
