In this Christmas carol written by Englishman John Wade in 1744, we are invited to come adore “Christ the Lord.” This is a call to worship. All of creation is invited into the Christmas story to bring praise and adoration to the One who came from his Father in heaven to be the Christ, the Messiah, our Savior and Lord. Let us draw near this Christmas to worship him – “the King of angels,” “Christ the Lord.”
