God’s Answer to Insecurity: Jesus says, “I am the Good Shepherd”

November 1, 2020 Speaker: Mark Petersburg Series: Anchoring or Drifting?

Passage: John 10

In this chapter of John’s Gospel, Jesus uses the imagery of the shepherd who cares for, protects, and secures his flock. In this indictment against the Pharisees of their betrayal to shepherd His people, Jesus gives the foundation and basis of security that every child of God should know and experience.

Things to look for in reading John, chapter 11:

1) Pay close attention to the actions and attitudes of the disciples, of Mary and Martha, of the crowd, and of the religious leaders – all involved in the story of Lazarus.

2) What do you learn about Jesus from this chapter? How is that applicable to you and your life?
