Foundations of a Genuine Faith

October 4, 2020 Speaker: Mark Petersburg Series: Anchoring or Drifting?

Topic: Faith Passage: John 6

The Apostle John opens chapter six of his Gospel with two events: the feeding of the 5000 and the boat incident on the Sea of Galilee. The rest of the chapter is a record of two conversations: one with the crowd that was following Jesus, the second with a group of religious leaders. In the conversation with the crowd there is a rapid-fire Q&A session. In Jesus’ replies we see four foundations of genuine faith. They focus on seeking, believing, authenticating and receiving.
