God delivered his people out of Egypt and led them to Mount Sinai where he made a covenant with this nation. Moses, who stood before the Lord on behalf of the people, encountered the living God and, in some way, God’s glory was transferred to his countenance after they met. We see the greater application of this experience in the lives of believers today in the pages of the New Testament. Paul, in his letter of Second Corinthians, describes the greater covenant and the greater glory of Christ who is the fulfillment of the covenant promise. And we see God’s glory reflected in the transformed lives of God’s people today.
