Jesus often spoke in parables. In the words of Dr. Roy Zuck: a parable is a story “thrown alongside the truth to illustrate the truth.” Before looking at the “Parable of the Sower” in Mark chapter four, we’ll consider “Five Guidelines of Interpreting Parables” in Dr. Zuck’s book Basic Bible Interpretation.
