The Apostle Peter concludes his first letter in the New Testament by calling on leaders to humbly serve and lead those entrusted to their care.  He calls on all believers to humble themselves before others in the church.  And then, and most profoundly, in relation to suffering (the theme of this book), he exhorts believers to allow God to humble them through suffering.  That is, allow God to use suffering and trials in your life for their desired purpose
