The Book of Esther demonstrates that God never forgot the covenant promises he made to Abraham and his descendants.  The foundation that undergirds this book is the faithfulness of God.  In Christ, we too have become recipients of God’s promises.  Paul writes: “And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise” (Galatians 3:29).  The assurance we have is predicated on the faithfulness of God to keep his promises.
