Passage: 2 Corinthians 7:2–16

Paul, the great apostle/evangelist/church planter extraordinaire, was downcast, in despair, as he awaited news from Titus who had carried a painful letter to those believers in Corinth who were in revolt against Paul.  When news finally comes that most had repented and re-affirmed their affection for Paul, he was filled with joy and rejoicing.  His harsh letter had brought about a godly grief accompanied by repentance.  We get a look at the difference between godly grief that leads to life and a worldly grief that leads to death.
