In Scripture, the church is portrayed as an army, and individual Christians as soldiers in that army. The Apostle Paul reminds us that as believers we are under authority, under the command of Jesus. That being true, how should we view the warfare we encounter? How should we prepare in order to be effective in spiritual conflict? In Ephesians, chapter six, Paul uses the picture of a Roman soldier dressed for battle as a springboard to detailing how a Christian should prepare for war.
