The Supremacy of Christ

October 15, 2017 Speaker: Mark Petersburg

Passage: Colossians 1:15–23

Colossians, chapter one, is perhaps the strongest statement in the entire New Testament of the pre-eminence, the supremacy, of Jesus Christ.  It refutes any position that places Jesus as less than he is.  His argument is that Jesus is supreme in identity, supreme in creation, supreme in the church, and supreme in reconciliation.  Paul’s teaching should produce awe and amazement of the greatness and supremacy of Jesus.
