God’s Promise Through Abraham

God calls Abraham to be the start of a new nation, a distinct people.  And He makes a covenant with Abraham, a covenant that will embrace the whole world and be fulfilled in Jesus the Messiah.  Abraham is asked to believe God, to exercise faith in the promise of God.  We too, as believers in Christ, are asked to trust in God who makes promises to us.  It wasn’t easy for Abraham to obey, and it is not always easy for us either.
