The “What” of Easter

April 16, 2017 Speaker: Mark Petersburg

The Apostle Paul, writing to the Christians in Corinth, lays out the central message of Easter, the “What” of Easter: Jesus was crucified; he was buried; he was raised on the third day; he appeared to several hundred people showing himself alive. This was the message of “good news” that was proclaimed throughout the world by followers of Jesus. It is the historical truth that is at the heart of Christianity. An honest skeptic must wrestle with the fact of the empty tomb. Christians declare it is empty because God raised Jesus from the dead.
