The promise of Christmas passes through Bethlehem and ends up outside Jerusalem – from the cradle to the cross. The Christmas promise is found in a Savior: promised in the Garden of Eden, coming through the lineage of Abraham and the descent of King David, born of a young teenager, Mary, who willingly submitted to God’s will, who goes to the cross to pay for the sins of the world. The solution to sin, to forgiveness is found nowhere else.
