Joseph’s brothers thought they had gotten rid of Joseph. Little could they have imagined that they would end up seeking help from this man who, as far as they knew, was an Egyptian! Numbers 32 says, “…be sure your sin will find you out.” That certainly happened to them. We begin to see a true change of heart in them as the story in the Genesis account unfolds. They are forced to face their sin. Likewise, we too are susceptible to the sins of the brothers: jealousy, envy and anger. We too must choose to deal with these in our lives. Lessons to be learned!
