Chapter four is Matthew’s starting point in his gospel record of the public ministry of Jesus Christ. In that chapter we see the nature of Jesus’ ministry: it was incarnational, relational, transformational and proclamational. Consider how the kingdom work of God today, found in ministry and message, is defined by these same four characteristics.
