The Providence of God encompasses both the good things and the bad things that happen to us. Naomi and Ruth experience the latter through the loss of their husbands. But God extends his grace and provision to them through their kinsman Boaz. In this delightful love story, we see good things happening to them despite the fact that they were undeserving. What a picture of our lives when God extends grace to us! He takes the initiative and, though we deserve nothing, shows his love by working on our behalf.
