Are you a captive to your past? Are you so focused on things in your past, that you are robbed of joy in the present? The Apostle Paul gives the key to pursuing his relationship with Christ: “forgetting what lies behind, I press on.” Paul focused on his present position in Christ. His attitude was: “I will let the past be past. God has called me to live in the present. Therefore, I press on to know him afresh, anew, with renewed vigor.” Shouldn’t that be our perspective as well?
