Jesus made some audacious claims, exclusive claims. None more controversial than this one - that he is the only way to God. It is important to step back and consider the issue from a “need” basis, and then to evaluate Jesus’ statement in that context. Every religious system has an emphasis on doing good, of being good. The question, then, is this: Can anyone be good enough? The Bible has a clear answer to that question, an answer that requires us to examine why Jesus made the statement he did, and is there evidence that he has credibility in saying what he did. Finally, we have to respond to what we discover about Jesus’ claim if true.
