Liberty comes by the pathway of Lordship. In Galatians, chapter five, Paul describes the conflict between the flesh and the Spirit. The desires of these two stand in opposition to each other. The key to living in freedom, neither flaunting nor stifling liberty, is to walk in the Spirit. That is, to make the choice to live under the power and direction of God’s Holy Spirit, who indwells every believer.
