Paul continues to appeal to the believers in Corinth to deal with problems in their midst. This message addresses the situation of one brother suing another brother in a secular court. Paul’s concerns, as it is with all of the problems in the church, are the unity of the body, their witness to the world, and practicing their position in Christ.
