God revealed his majesty to two older people in Jerusalem: Simeon and Anna. God revealed to them the Christ-child, the consolation of Israel, the Redeemer of God’s chosen people and all who would believe in him. Each had waited expectantly and actively for God to fulfill his promise that they would see the Christ. We, too, need to wait expectantly and actively – wait for Jesus to show up.
