Jesus often spoke in parables, stories “thrown alongside the truth to illustrate the truth” (R. Zuck). The difficulty is in interpreting a parable. Consider five principles that Zuck gives in his book Basic Bible Interpretation, and then apply them to one of the most well-known parables – the Parable of the Good Samaritan.
