Tour Postscript

1

First, I want to thank all who visited the blog, esp. those who wrote comments. If you’ve ever written a blog, even short entries take time and are more involved than you would think. Stan and I would struggle to stay awake after a long day and get something posted before we hit the rack and I know the quality of my writing, some days, reflected this fact. It encouraged us when we would see comments and know that people were following our adventure. Also, a big ‘thank you’ to Pastor Mark and Caron who gave us permission to use the KCC website to post the blog. We are indebted to you for that.

Words can’t adequately describe what we saw and did, but Stan’s photos came close. He took some incredible shots and using technology was able to stitch together some panoramic views. Kudos to Stan.

The tour we took is one that keeps on giving. We did so much every day and covered so much ground that it was impossible to process it all while it occurred. I liken it to a ‘compressed file’ on a computer. Slowly over the next days, weeks, months, and yes, even years Billie, Larry, Stan, Bonnie and I will decompress the ‘tour file’. I was still processing my first tour to Israel in 2008 and now there is more.

If you’ve never been to Israel, go. I truly believe it should be on every Christian’s ‘bucket list’. You don’t have to hike it like we did (but if you are able, I strongly recommend doing so). Just go see it and do so with a respectable Christian ministry. Don’t try it alone the first time.

Be sure to ask Billie, Larry, Stan, and my wife Bonnie what they thought about the trip. Listen closely to their answers. Each one will have a different perspective. If I can be of any assistance to you if you are thinking about a trip to Israel, don’t hesitate to ask.

Thanks again for reading the blog. Shalom.

Brian and Stan,

Thanks for sharing the trip with us through the the blog and the pictures. Even with short entries it gave us a feel for the schedule and the sights. Glad you are all home safe and sound.
