Student Ministry (Grades 7-12)
Thanks for visiting the Student Ministry section of our website!
Our VISION is to see teenagers’ lives changed by Jesus Christ.
Our MISSION is for students to grow into disciples of Jesus by forming authentic relationships with their peers, parents, youth workers, and God.
- Peers: We want to help build strong relationships between students in our youth group so that they can support and encourage each other in their faith.
- Parents: We want students to have a great relationship with their parents. We want to do whatever we can to support, empower, and encourage parents in their relationship with their students.
- Youth Workers: We want to build strong, meaningful relationships between youth workers and students. We want students to have someone outside of their family that they can go to when they need someone to talk to.
- God: Most importantly, we want students to have a personal relationship with Jesus, one that goes beyond their time in the student ministry, and means something to them in those difficult moments of their life.
Our CURRICULUM is called Orange, which is based on the belief that two combined influences make a greater impact than two individual influences: The Church (Yellow) + Home (Red) = Greater Impact (Orange). Watch this video to hear more about it!
Sunday Morning KSM (Grades 7-12)
10:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Center
KSM is specifically designed for grades 7-12. It’s a place for teenagers to gather together with their peers to learn about Jesus and to have fun while doing it. The morning consists of Fun Interaction (Social Time with snacks and games), Engaging Truth (Bible Story through video or live teaching), and A Safe Place to Connect (Small Groups divided by Middle School/High School or Male/Female, depending on the topic).
We have worked hard to create an environment on Sunday mornings that is welcoming, fun, engaging, and a place where students will want to bring their friends! We leave time in the beginning and end of the morning for students to hang out, snack, play games, and even join in on ping pong, air hockey, or foosball!
We also know that it’s important for parents to know what we’re teaching so we provide that information on our KSM Monthly Calendar and in our Monthly Parent Cue so that parents can follow up with their students at home. See below for the links to this month’s KSM Calendar and Parent Cue.
Service Sundays (Last Sunday of the month)
9:00 a.m. McDonald’s Breakfast Meet Up
10:30 a.m. Volunteer or Attend the Service
We believe it’s important for students to have an opportunity to serve in the larger ministry of the church. We also believe that it’s important for students to attend church with their families. So, on the last Sunday of each month, in place of KSM, students will have the opportunity to either attend the worship service with their family, or volunteer in a ministry.
We believe it’s important for students to get together outside of Sunday mornings. So, each month we will have special events to gather students either by Middle School/High School, Male/Female, or Combined. Please see our Monthly Student Ministry Calendar for details.
Thank you for visiting our website! We are excited and passionate about serving students and their families. If you have any questions about our program or if there’s anything we can do to help minister to your family, please contact us. We would love to connect with you!
