High School Ministry (Grades 9-12)
We are so excited about what God is doing in the lives of high school students and their families. We have planned a variety of events that center around building community and having fun. We’ve also planned events to be spiritually challenging in the lives of students. It’s our prayer that students will have deep and meaningful connections with each other and with Jesus. As a high school ministry we see our primary role as that of encouraging and supporting what parents are already doing in the lives of their students to raise and disciple them. We want to be available to parents as a helpful resource. Please don’t hesitate to contact Pastor Chris if there’s anything we can do as a ministry to come alongside you and your family.
Rock Solid
Rock Solid is a place where students can feel welcome, loved, and safe to ask the tough questions and share their life needs and concerns. We play games, listen to a message from Pastor Chris, worship, and pray! The Student Servant Team takes part in planning and leading the night to make it fun and engaging for teenagers.
Sunday School
Sunday School is a weekly opportunity for students to grow deeper in their faith in some significant ways. Each week high schoolers are taught the Bible in a fun, interesting, and systematic way. The goal of Sunday school is to give students the big picture of who God is, how God is at work in the world, and how God wants to radically invade and transform their lives. Sunday School is one hour you don’t want to miss. Sunday school meets from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the education building.
Student Servant Team
Are you interested in being a student leader? Every year we accept new applications from students interested in being part of the student servant team. Student leadership involves helping to plan and implement Rock Solid, leading smaller teams within the youth group, and reaching out to others. All new student leadership candidates must undergo an application and interview process. High School Retreat
Each fall the high school ministry goes on a weekend retreat designed to help students build stronger bonds of friendship with each other, grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus, or begin a relationship with Jesus for the very first time. The high school retreat is one of the highlights of the year for students in our ministry and is an event that you will not want to miss.
Adult Leaders
All high school activities and events are led by leaders who have been carefully screened, trained, and equipped to minister specifically to this age group. If you feel like God is calling you to minister to high school students, we would love the opportunity to talk with you more.
