In Romans, chapter eleven, Paul concludes his teaching on God’s relationship to the Jew. Because of Israel’s unbelief, has God rejected them as his chosen people? Paul’s answer is an emphatic “No!” But Israel’s rejection was good news for the Gentile. The conclusion, by way of application, we draw from Paul’s teaching in Romans 11 is that God is sovereign; He is merciful; He is faithful.
